Meet the friendly staff at Westhampton Beach Animal Hospital!

  • Dr.
    Jack Heller, DVM
    Practice Owner
    Dr. Jack Heller is the owner of Westhampton Beach Animal Hospital, and has been practicing in Suffolk County for the last 14 years. A born resident of Greenlawn, New York, Dr. Heller and his wonderful wife, Stacy, have always enjoyed the Eastern End of Long Island. This love for the east end led to the ownership of Westhampton Beach Animal Hospital in 2011. Dr. Heller and Stacy have two fabulous children, Matthew and Madeline, as well as multiple four legged friends! Their pets include cats Frankie and DJ, French Bulldogs Sophie, Henry, and Marybel, and English Bulldog, Duke.

    Karen Dowd, DVM
    A graduate of the University Of Tennessee in 1990, Dr. Karen Dowd has been practicing Veterinary Medicine since. She specializes in small animal care, and has a love for all animals. Dr. Dowd joined the staff at Westhampton Beach Animal Hospital in 2014, and is well loved by all her clients at the hospital. In her spare time, Dr. Dowd is an avid runner and biker, and has even been known to run in local marathons. At home, she is the proud owner of 2 cats.

    Robert Frosch, DVM
    Dr. Robert Frosch was born and raised on Long Island. He graduated from Ross University in 1993. Dr. Frosch is married to his wonderful wife Lin, and they have a daughter named Paula. Dr. Frosch is the proud human to 4 furry and feathery children, names as follows: - Molly (A 11 year old Maltipoo) - Lulu (A 16 year old Toy Poodle) - Reno (A 11 year old Jack Russell) - Sunny (An approximately 12 year old Female Sun Conure)
  • Rebecca
    Office Manager
    Rebecca has been working @ WHB Animal Hospital since 2006. She is the human to three furry and feathery children, names as follows:- Jasmine (A 7 year old Domestic shorthair), she was found by a good Samaritan with her sister and brought to the hospital as a kitten. - Angel (A 7 year old Domestic shorthair), she came in to the hospital with her sister Jasmine. Rebecca wanted to adopt a cat but couldn't tear them apart so she brought both of them home. - Gunther (An Approximately 13 year old FEMALE Umbrella Cockatoo), she was given up for adoption by her owner do to the fact that he was moving out the country. Rebecca didn't have the heart to change her name, once she had a blood test to find out if she was male or female.
  • Meghann
    Marketing Manager & Groomer
    Meghann joined our staff in the summer of 2017 as our Marketing Manager and Groomer, and brings many years of professional experience working with animals, as well as a professional graphic, web designer, and photographer. At home she is the mom to two wonderful French Bulldogs, Louie and Leila, as well as co-owns additional French Bulldogs that she competes with in the American Kennel Club show ring. Outside of the show ring, Meghann enjoys photography, snowboarding, and boating. Meghann is a member of the National Dog Groomers Association Of America, and is a Certified Dog Groomer and Certified Pet CPR & First Aid.
  • Janet
    Licensed Veterinary Technician
    Janet is our Licensed Veterinary Technician, and has been with us at Westhampton Beach Animal Hospital since 2013. Before joining us here, Janet had also worked with Dr. Heller at his previous hospital. Janet's specialty is pain management and anesthesia, but provides excellent healthcare for all your pets needs. At home, Janet has a wonderful husband and 3 children. Additional to her children, she is the mom to several cats. In her spare time she is an avid hiker, and enjoys yoga. We are so grateful to have Janet here with us at our office.
  • Michelle
    Receptionist
    Michelle has been working in the Veterinary field for over 15 years, and has been with us at Westhampton Beach Animal Hospital since March of 2012. She is an excellent addition to the staff, having an extensive experience working with Exotic pets, and an emphasized specialty in Avian (birds!). Besides being a wonderful advocate for exotic pet healthcare, she also runs the only 501(c)3 Chinchilla rescue in the state of New York, ChinFriends. If you're looking for a wonderful furry friend, please check them out! She is also the pet mom to 4 rescue Persian cats, a bunny named Faraday, and the office mascot, Sporty the Amazon Parrot!
  • Kelly
    Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant
    Coming from a background in dairy farming, Kelly brings extensive experience in handling of all animals; big and small. An exceptional student and member of the Deans List (twice!), Kelly was attending SUNY Alfred studying to become a Veterinary Technician, before relocating to Long Island and transferring her education to Penn Foster. Kelly has since been involved in the Veterinary field profession since 2013, and is an asset at our hospital. At home Kelly is the mom to two cats, Muschi and Maxwell, a Shiba named Buddy, a Bearded Dragon named Spike, a fishtank housing a few fish including her main goldfish Walter, and will soon be assisting in fostering Chinchillas for fellow coworker Michelle's rescue; ChinFriends. She is also an avid artist, and enjoys all spectrums of the fine arts.
  • Raquan
    Veterinary Assistant
    Raquan worked with our practice in the past, before attending school at Suffolk County B.O.C.E.S. for Animal Science/Veterinary Assisting. He returned to our practice in the summer of 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant and Kennel Assistant. Raquan loves all animals, but has a particular soft spot for cats. At home, he has one pet cat named Haley. In his spare time, he is a big fan of playing basketball.
